Which color for my dining room (pics included)
We're finally going to paint! Yay! But, I can't decide what color. DH took a picture of the room and then used photoshop to "paint" the walls. Now help me choose a color! TIA!!

Re: Which color for my dining room (pics included)
i like them both..
what color is your kitchen and what color is your china?
maybe the second, b/c I have been seeing a lot of the darker color for the dining room, this would be a little different
but they are both nice choices

I like them both but I would have to say the first color looks better...
We have a dark red dining room and we love it.

What are the colors for the rest of your house? Orange is warmer and will be better if you have Earth tones. Blue is cool but calming.
I think I prefer the orange.

I really like them both. However, the blue gets my vote. It's so different and looks great with the white.

I like the blue - with the dark furniture I think the orange is too dark. The blue brightens it up.

Blue curbs the appetite, it's generally not the best color for a dining area. But it is pretty. I looove the orange.

I love the blue. I think the room pops more and looks larger and airy. And this comes from someone who painted their blue dining room red!!

Re: Which color for my dining room (pics included)
They both look great -- so I don't think I can really pick, but I just have to say what a great job with PhotoShop -- I never thought of doing that to pick a color.
Did you have to do anything special to get the right color???

I think a nice area rug under the table could really make a difference also- to tie it all together!

Re: Which color for my dining room (pics included)
I love both colors but I'm partial to orange in a dining room and/or kitchen. The blue is beautiful (especially for a bedroom or bathroom) but the orange really makes your moulding and furniture pop.
Blue is on the other side of the spectrum from orange/red so the blue vase in your cabinet really pops against the orange. I love it.
I agree with Beth - an area rug will really tie it all together.
