Which day for a 1st birthday?
DS first birthday is June 26th. We are doing it outside in a park.
I am having a hard time picking the best date. I know how busy end of June is, with prom, graduations and weddings. We have all 3 of those things happening in June. I also have family coming out from the Bronx for the party.
The party will start at 1 on either day we choose. So what do you ladies think, which day is better?

My DS's birthday party is the 25th and I'm competing with 3 graduation parties - so with that in mind, I'd say Sunday.

my ds's is the 24th and we're doing the Sat--I hate doing things on sunday afternoon that could go to Sun night since it's so hectic w/ work on mondays.

I do like Saturday parties, but that is graduation time. I would def do Sunday bc of that!

Actually, I would do the exact opposite, and do Saturday. If I'm remembering correctly, a lot of hs graduations are on Sunday (and could be the 26th). So, you might get more people on the Saturday instead of Sunday.

I would do Sunday. The day of his birthday in this particular case.
This year though I am doing Saturday instead of Sunday.

Thanks ladies for your input. I swear I don't how I would deal with out this board. I asked DH last night what he though as far as which day and he said either one works for me. Pick the one that isn't going to rain.   So now I have the power to see the forecast weeks in advance.

Had my DS party at home and so happy I had it on a Saturday. It gave us all day sunday to clean, play and relax. No rushing around to get ready for work the next day

I picked the 25th for other reasons. Although parties are a lot of fun, they are a lot of work and tiring for you and baby. You need sunday to rest.
Also, I remember my HS graduation being on a sunday.
