Which Direct Sales would you do?

Thinking about going into Direct Sales to make
Extra money. I'm a SAHM and want to make extra money for my kids to do extra activities. Anyway, which direct sales would you go into: Which do you think would be the most successful?

Barefoot Book: Children's Books
Thirty-One: Totes, personalized bags and stuff
Orgami Owl: charms and necklaces, but I feel everybody does this.

Or any other direct sales that you know are successful.

TIA!

Re: Which Direct Sales would you do?

The only direct sales item I buy is Scentsy.

I also purchase them from Michelle McFadden, a vendor on here.

Re: Which Direct Sales would you do?

I love 31, and to be honest when I was down in Delaware every single person had a 31 bag on the beach, out shopping, etc. Here (eastern Suffolk) I rarely see them.

I'm not familiar with Barefoot Books, but I can't see myself purchasing books through this route.

Origami Owl seems to be every where lately. I my cousin does this one and I know she does well with parties. I can't see the demand really being there too long.

I don't see many 31 reps around. I know one person that sells their products and she's in Hawaii. I would guess this is your best bet out of the 3.

Have you considered Initials, inc? We sell personalized purses, totes, travel, organization items. We feature fashion forward patterns and designs and personalization is FREE.

If I wasn't a rep for this company, I would sell Touchstone Jewelry. They are a Swarovsky subsidiary and their jewelry is beautiful.

I am familiar with barefoot books and love their products BUT...I remember being SO EXCITED to offer an educational product for kids when I was a discovery toys rep. I thought it was the best thing ever and was very proud of it. However, People just did not seem interested. They wanted easy toys they could just plop their kids down with and not be bothered with the "hassle" of interaction. It was a rude awakening and very sad to me...very discouraging. Plus they didn't want to "order" toys...they wanted instant gratification right then and there and buying stock is risky and an extra investment

31 stuff is nice but I don't see too many options for repeat customers or getting people to sign on for parties from parties they attend. It's like a one shot deal imo.

No clue about the books but if you have a large group of mommy friends it might be an option.

origami owl doesn't appeal to me (even though I have one).

The 2 direct sales I buy from are Tastefully Simple and Pampered Chef. More opportunities for repeat sales and we constantly book parties from friends' parties and do one a quarter. I know in our circle the hostess always makes out like a bandit so I'm sure the rep does too! Good luck

Check out Stella & Dot. Beautiful jewelry. A higher price point, but high quality and seen on many celebs.

Re: Which Direct Sales would you do?

I agree with the other posters who have said your best options are with items that you can get repeat customers from.

I personally can't see myself and the women I know buying those bags or children's books.

If you ever want to hear more about origami owl please fm me !
It's still a ground floor company and the commissions are on of the best out there .
These items are most popular for gifts and it never ends with all the new products they release!
Including new bracelets for the fall which will be a big seller for the upcoming holiday season.

Re: Which Direct Sales would you do?

I have been very successful with Thirty-One. I started last Sept and have already promoted to Senior Consultant and on my way to Director. There is a lot of room for growth and income with this company. I love the values and meaning behind the company. I would love to share more with you if you are interested. Feel free to message me :)

I like Tastefully Simple , I feel like the parties are good because you just eat and if people like the products they will continue to order through you.

Re: Which Direct Sales would you do?

I went to a tupperware party last week and it was great. I am actually having one next week. I didn't know that people still did these. Their products are great. If you want a rep, the lady I am using is very friendly.

Which Direct Sales would you do?

Do what you have a passion for and can have repeat business with. I sell Scentsy and do well with it when I work my business but I enjoy the product and love what I do. You could sell the most popular money making product out there but without passion for it you probably would not have a ton of success. Also get to know your sponsor before joining any direct sales company, find a good fit for your personality.

Which Direct Sales would you do?

I sell Pampered Chef. Considered 31 also. I saw 31 as more limited. I was also speaking to a rep this weekend for them and a big drawback for me was that they have 4 catalogs a year. That's a lot of samples.
If you would like any info on Pampered Chef, FM me.

I'm a tastefully simple rep. I love this company! Everyone eats so its a huge client base and people re order food! I love what I do, fm me for more info and I can tell you more about the business. They are also running a sign on bonus right now where you can earn either 1/2 or all of your start up fee back!

Thirty-One does 3 catalogs per year and one of the great things about the company is all the incentives you can earn. They set you up quite well with the ability to earn most of the new products before they come out so you have them for your parties. We have 20 new products coming this catalog and I earned (or bought highly discounted) around 15 of them! It's really generous how much they give us Chat Icon

Maybe I misunderstood her then. Sorry for the misinformation. I agree though with the generousity and ability to eaarn new products. We do the same thing with The Pampered Chef.

Re: Which Direct Sales would you do?

Thirty One Bags if your immediate circle hasn't been hit up with it yet. I think every family would buy 1-2 items from 31.
