I think #2 almost looks a bit more feminine because of the design. #1 looks more rugged/manly, so I personally would pick #1 for my DH.
BUT, I know nothing about tires, so maybe a man that does would prefer the higher performance etc tire look.
I just think for a ring to wear all the time, #1 would be good.

I asked my DH and he said the 2nd one. When I asked him why he said because it's hydroplane proof and that's the one he would pick.

The Goodyear Aquatreds were discontinued years ago. It's difficult to find tires still made that look like #2. They are also only T rated, which means 118 MPH, so they aren't performance tires.
(Sorry, had to do some tire research....  )
