Which position do you sleep in?

I normally sleep on my left side, but lately I find myself so much more comfortable on my right. I know you are supposed to sleep on our left side, and I try to start off that way, but always end up flipping back and forth throughout the night. I feel guilty whenever I am on my right side because I know blood flow to the baby is better on the left... How do you girls sleep???

i am a stomach sleeper-so this is killing me!!LOL!

i toss and turn all nt...rt. side, left side and even my back....i have one of those boppy snuggle pillows and it seems to help...but right now i am most comfortable on my right side and i have to make a conscious effort to flip to my left!! i don't know how im goiing to make it the next 3 months!!!

same thing happens to me--i start off on my left side and in the morning I find myself on my right

I am a serious belly sleeper. I've actually been doing a half belly/half side position... My belly and legs are facing the left side and my upper body is positioned as if I'm sleeping on my belly. I know it sounds super uncomfy but you'd be surprised! I start off this way but end up tossing and rurning all night. I've been trying to use a body pillow but I end up throwing it across the room in the middle of the night... I just can't get comfy with it!

I asked my doc about the left side sleeping thing and he laughed at me..lol

He said "do you think your grandma cared what side she slept on?" lol

He said you don't even know it but you change positions so many times during the night that you couldn't possibly just stay on one side..lol

so i try not to worry about it.

I sleep in any position that is comfortable and will allow me to actually sleep!

I'm a side sleeper- always have been. I alternate during the night.

I'm a stomach sleeper and am still sleeping on my stomach at 36 weeks...luckily it's still relatively comfortable for me but it will probably be only another week or so. I switch between my left and right side as well because sleeping on my back is just way too uncomfy...

They say to sleep on your left because it promotes that best blood flow for the mother, but the right does the same thing. Sleeping on your back, the baby can sometimes cut down your blood flow back to your heart, so you may get even more light headed when you stand up....

i love to sleep on my back but i know it flows blood away from the baby. I try and do the left (less pressure on vena cava, the major artery) but I wake up in all sorts of positions. never was a belly sleeper though. I read that in the 3rd tri is when you should really try not to sleep on your back, so i hope i'm good for awhile!

I try to start out on the left side, but find it mroe comfortable on my right. So most of the time I end up on my right side.

I start on my left, usually wake up once during the night on my right, and then end up on my back in the morning

Usually on my side, both right and left, whatever is comfortable at the moment.
The past 2 weeks I've been sleeping sitting up with tons of pillows all around me.

The whole idea about sleeping on the left side to promote better blood flow is totally not 100% true. I would say, for girls that have high blood pressure or any sort of blood pressure issue, then yes, it is best to sleep on your left side. But if you are having a normal pregnancy, then the right side is fine too, even if it's for the entire night! Don't stress about it!

I sleep on both sides in the beginning of the night then by 4:30 in the morning i end up in my livingroom on my recliner where i am most comfortable

I'm still sleeping mostly on my stomach. I flip around a lot, but will sleep however I can get some rest. I think I sleep well about every other night these days. And even that includes getting up every few hours to use the bathroom. Sigh.
