which set up is better? (pics)

OK... I know this isn't major, but I'm trying to make our entry way look nice.... for the table, which combination do you like better? the candles AND the flower vase or just the candles spread out? Or should I keep looking? Can anyone suggest something if you don't like how it looks... also, the 3rd pic are wall sconces that i was going to put on the sides of the mirror.... what do you think? Do I need something with more height??

thanks....we tried it horizontally and it just didn't fit right on the wall.. it's a 20 foot wall and the mirror wasn't high enough when we did it horizontally...

i happen to be in the minority & like it with the candles only. I feel like the vase adds too much to it. I think the sconces will look great (I have the same ones in my dining room)

I like the candles and flowers. I would keep the mirror as is and would not add the sconces, I think it would be too crowded then.

you need height, so i would add a few vases of varying heights and colors. don't have to fill them just use as decorative pieces. i also agree w/ placing mirror horizontally.

You want to decorate in odd numbers. Even numbers create too much balance and not enough interest.

I agree, you need more height if you are going to keep the mirror verticle.

#1 w/ the flowers and then you could add little extras for the holidays like candles or pine garland w/ lights for christmas

I like the 1st pic, with the candles and the vase. I have that table! The whole set, actually. So pretty!

I like the 1st one. However, I think I might like a round picture frame. I only say this because with the straight lines of the mirror. I saw a round frame at Target that would look so nice. It still looks so nice the way it is!

Definately the 1st one....as someone else said groups of three(with the candles) is supposedly more visually interesting. I think the sconces will look really nice there as well.
