Porterhouse tends to be more expensive. Buy whatever is on sale. Is there a reason why you are asking about those two cuts in particular? I find filet mignon (which is found on a GOOD cut of porterhouse ) grills best as well as skirt steak.

agreed! filet mignon & skirt steak are my favorites on the grill.

We love a good marinaded skirt steak on the grill. But if it's only a choice between those two then I like the porterhouse, which is more expensive. All we do is put some kosher salt & pepper and grill them.
Sometimes I make a butter sauce to put on as soon as they come off.

My neighbor was listening to my cousin and I while we were speaking outside ....he was asking me what should he BBQ for his family and I said I thought porterhouse was good then my neighbor shouted out that rib eye was the better of the 2...then she said that the ribeye was more money..thanks or your reply he is going with the porterhouse

Ribeye is my steak of choice.
Cost is not relative, because I buy what is on sale, so it could be porterhouse, ribeye or NY strip, top round if I want to make a marinated London Broil. Skirt steak I'm on the fence. I can remember when it cost just about nothing, and now it's $14.00 per pound.
I am not a fan of filet mignon. Really doesn't have much of a flavor since it is so lean and no bones.

Salt and pepper a ribeye and throw it on the grill. It is unbelievably good.
