I use Dr. Gus San Roman in Port Jefferson and LOVE him. The office staff is wonderful, the NPs/midwives in the practice are amazing, he has a sono machine and tech in the office, and will draw blood right there for you, too. He delivers at St. Charles.
Just a personal story to illustrate how wonderful he is... My water broke on Easter Sunday 2008 and ended up needing a c-section the next day. He was off (he has a large family and always takes off for his children's school breaks). At the time, he was working with another doc who I didn't know very well (and what I did know, I didn't love). Once I found out it was c-section time I was bummed because the NP/midwife would have to step aside and I needed a doc. Michelle Mayer (NP/midwife) came into my room an hour before the c-section and told me I would be happy, but Dr. Gus' wife would not be... she called him and explained the situation and he was on his way to the hospital to perform my surgery. He told me afterward that his brother (Dr. Gabe San Roman of RS of NY, an RE) had gotten me to this point (IVF) and he wanted to finish the job. I was so touched!
I also see Dr. Gus San Roman. That is such a great story. Sounds just like him Michelle delivered DS but towards the end his heartrate dropped and Dr. San Roman came in to assis with a vacuum extraction and he was amazing. I absolutely love the practice!!!

I just switched to this practice, and I love them. I'm so happy I decided to go to them. Everyone there is so nice, including the front desk staff, and the sono tech, which was certainly not the case at my last doctor!

Me too! They dliver at Winthrop. Wouldn't change them for the world!!
I didn't deliver with Dr. Plancher, but switched to him after I had a bad experience with my previous practice. A friend recommended him. He handled my recent miscarriage very well. I even like the office staff and they seem more organized than my previous practice.

Dr. Matalon - permissions at Good Sam and Southside. He's fantastic - calm, professional and knowledgeable. He never makes you feel dopey no matter what the question. And he always calls back personally whenever you call.

Dr. Stephanie Buck-Haskin. She has practices in Great Neck, Forest Hills and I believe Levittown.
She delivers at LIJ and that's the main reason I used her! I'm a Suffolk girl now and wouldn't want to deliver anywhere else!

All the docs at University Plaza (Garden City) are great.
Dr. Miller is my regular doc, i've been seen by Dr. Cafaro at several visits and Dr. Rosenberg delivered DD2....LOVE HIM!!!
All the staff are awesome!!

Dr. Dean in Garden City. He is the head at South Nassau Hospital. I think he is wonderful and when I developed Cholestasis he monitored me very closely and consulted with RE drs. at Madonna.
He as sono (madonna) in office. At basic blood work can be done there but I did need to go to the lab a few times for more details tests.
Dr. Dean is awesome. He isn't my regular OB but he was on call at the hospital when I had DS. He was so much better then my regular OB who had me in tears more then once the day before. He is kind and let me know everything that was going on. I ended up asking for a c-section because I was in excruciating pain while I was pushing. DS rotated and was causing extreme discomfort. He came right in and di an exam and said "OR now!". He was amazing. You can barely see my scar...

I see Dr. Davenport at Three Village Women's Health in E. Setauket. I love all of the doctors in the practice. They deliver at Stony Brook.

I'm using him this time around....and I have nothing bad to say!! I used SouthBay OBGYN and the Dr's are good there too! But I do too LOVE Dr. Franchina!!

Bethpage ObGyn, I see Dr. Thanus and Dr. Storch and I love them both. Dr. Storch performed my c-section. They deliver at Winthrop.

I agree. This practice is unbelieveable, and whgat a wonderful story, i have to say...sound just like them :) Michelle Mayer delivered DS, but Dr. San Roman kept coming in to see if all was okay...they are both amazing, and from what I understand, have been working side by side for many years. If you are in this area, I highly highly recommend!!!!

I used Dr. Matalon with my first and I didn't really care for him. My mom loves him though so...
I use Comprehensive OBGYN in West Islip. I really like all of them, especially Dr. Sampino and his wife.
ETA: I delivered at both GS and SS. I loved GS, SS not so much.

Me too! I love all the docotrs there! I've seen them all. Dr. Rifkin did my surgery and Dr. Sadaty did my c-section. Dr. Kaufman saw me in the hospital! I could not be happier with the group!

I was using Dr Klein & Dr Egre in West Islip, but I recently had a major problem with Dr Klein and will never go back. I am switching to Pilliterri
