Well I have a 2006 car so yeah I have a CD player. I don't have the new fangled technology like bluetooth or media players in my car!
I have a 2005 matrix and would only buy cd's for my car. I have one of those cd visor storage things.
however, i bought a handy dandy magnetic phone mount for my dash and a blue tooth transmitter, so now I can run the phone on bluetooth and stream spotify or whatever else.
it was like $30 for the transmitter but it works really well with very little static/interference.

How much data does that drain on you though streaming music? I feel like it would eat up all my data.

i havent checked. but we have unlimited data w. Tmobile. although they slow it down when you hit 2gb. I dont typically use much data outside of that though. I use it for the commute, about 30 min each way. most of the time on weekends we are in my husbands car.

Who still has a CD player/tape deck in their car?
I have a 2015 CRV and it has a CD slot behind the digital screen I have, I didn’t even know I was there until I hit a button and the screen starting folding down!

Re: Who still has a CD player/tape deck in their car?
We just got rid of a 2004 Nissan Sentra & it had a CD player in it. . .along with a CD that had been stuck in it for about 8 years!
Our new Subaru Cross trek does nor have one. It has Blue tooth & Apple Carplay. I feel like those things are better if you use a streaming service, which we don't, because of that data. We listen to the actual radio, or music we have stored on our phones through bluetooth ( which mostly came form CDs).
Our old car had a auxiliary audio jack, which was new at the time & mostly in higher end cars ( we had the most no-frills Nissan), and we had the car so long, that those are considered obsolete now!

I picked "other" bc I honestly have no idea if mine has one or not, I never asked nor have I ever looked for it bc I dont even own CDs anymore.
I have a 2017 Pacifica, it has Bluetooth, USB and Sirius and I only ever use one of those 3.

With T-mobile, streaming music is free, and doesn't count against your data limits. As long as you use one of the top 40 or so music streaming services.

I have a Samsung galaxy phone with boost mobile. I pay 30/month unlimited data, talk, text. I stream my music (Amazon music unlimited - 7.99/month, unlimited access to all music) and don't have to worry about the data costs. It's 4g data, and if you go over a certain amount it's dropped down to 3g. I have never had it dropped to 3g except the one time we took a trip out of state using the streaming and navigation. And I commute a lot for work, I put anywhere from 1000-1500 miles on my car for work, and I NEVER run out of the data
