Re: whos working till "the end"
I hope to work up until the Friday before (I'm due on a Sunday)....I want to save my time for spending with the baby after he's here.... Any time I use before he arrives cuts into the FMLA I'm planning on using.
ETA - gotta give credit to you commuting prego's. I go into the city 2-3 times a month fo rmeetings and I'm exhausted after taking the train, walking up and down the subway steps, carting my laptop and bags around the streets, then getting home late at night. You girls are saints for doing that everyday.

Re: whos working till "the end"
I gave birth to my DD on a Sunday, and had worked right up to the Friday before.
That was a mistake. Looking back, I really wish I had taken at least 1 week off to catch up on sleep and get last minute stuff done/organized.
This go around, that's what I plan to do.

It is my company policy that I have to leave 4 weeks prior to my due date, but it is paid leave.
Same with my company. I asked if you can take the 4 weeks after and you can't so take it or lose it. If not I would have been waddling my butt to work up until 1 week before my DD.
