Re: Why am I always hungry? Pls help
did you eat dinner?
I cant count your points but looking at quickly, it looks like you're not eating enough which is why you're hungry.
ex for breakfast a mini bagel is what, 80 cals? 3 egg whites is about 41 cals and a slice of american cheese is maybe 30 cals. You're looking at a breakfast of less than 200 calories.
The granola bar is probably less than 200 that brrings you to 400 calories
babybell is 50 cals and snap peas and carrots maybe another 50 cals now you're at 500
lunch chicken cutlet-maybe 130 cals brocoli 30cals minted peas ?? now you're up to 660-700 calories
strawberries-50 cals carrots 50 calories edamame 100
so on the high side of estimating you're at 900 calories... that's why you're hungry. In any weight loss plan, you shouldn't be eating less than 1200 calories.. it's not healthy and very hard to get all your nutrients in.
Did you figure out how many points that was? Id guess its less than you're daily target.

Re: Why am I always hungry? Pls help
A Figure competitor friend and I were talking about this...I was saying that I was feeling like I could constantly eat.
She wrote this...
"Appetite and hunger...two different things...Hunger is the body's physiological need for food...Appetite is the psychological need for food...and the two often overlap:) Some days that are filled with stress I don't want to eat at all...other days, I could strap on the feedbag and go all day. So is it your appetite or hunger??"
In looking back I would try to add some more protein and some healthy fats in there...I wont go as far as to say that eating under 1200 calories is unhealthy as every person's body is different and needs different things. I would try to get more proteins/fats in there and make sure dinner is set. Are you exercising? How are you spacing your food out around your workouts

Maybe you are still hungry because you phase out the carbs by your morning snack. You said you just rejoined WW so maybe you are used to more carbs that will tend to make you feel fuller.
That being said, I don't think you are doing anything wrong but I think you have to play with it to figure out what satisfies you. Have you tried a protein shake? What about drinking seltzer?

Re: Why am I always hungry? Pls help
I would substitute some of the fruit for higher protein snacks (nuts, cottage cheese, etc.). Generally I find eating protein and carbohydrates together is better at filling me up. You could also try adding veggies to your egg whites in the morning increasing your fiber intake. You could replace the apple sauce with a piece of fresh fruit such as an apple which has higher fiber and will help you to feel full longer. I would add a large salad of mixed greens to your lunch. Overall I would increase your fiber intake, incorporate more protein into your snacks and consider adding more whole grains (buck wheat, brown rice, quinoa).

Great point about combining proteins/carbs!

Re: Why am I always hungry? Pls help
On a related note, I am guessing you are still practicing Bikram pretty regularly too.........I know that alone can leave one feeling extremely hungry.
I often feel like I could eat a horse some days.
I follow a number of Bikram bloggers, many who are teachers and they encourage people who practice frequently to give into their cravings.........even if that's a big old juicy cheeseburger from time to time.
I know most of us can't eat like that regularly, but it doesn't seem like your body is taking in enough...........especially when you end up burning a lot of those calories in one class alone ;).

Re: Why am I always hungry? Pls help
I would definitely up the healthy fats. I find this helps greatly with keeping full.
Have whole eggs & have 2% yogurt, cottage cheese, nuts for a snack

Re: Why am I always hungry? Pls help
how about protein for snacks. What usually helps me is if I have greek yogurt, cottage cheese or an apple with peanut butter.

Re: Why am I always hungry? Pls help
On the old plan, it usually took me about a week to not feel hungry all the time. Maybe some protein with one of your afternoon snacks?

Re: Why am I always hungry? Pls help
Thanks for the feedback! I haven't been to bikram at all this week :(
For dinner I had sashimi with miso soup and salad. Dressing on the side and I ate about a half cup of sushi rice with that.
It all came to 29 points with everything else. And speaking of points, I dont understand why I 'can choose' to go with 26-29 as my daily target? E-tools gives me 26 points which I find impossible. And what's the point of a choice if you don't get that choice online? Confused...

Re: Why am I always hungry? Pls help
I looks like you need foods with more protein or substance. Did you just start your diet? Sometimes it takes a few weeks for you body to adjust. I know when I started WW I was starving for weeks until I got used to eating less.

Could you be dehydrated? Dehydration can often seem like hunger.

You do get that choice! You can have 26, 27, 28, OR 29 points on any given day based on how you feel (not including your weeklies). The reason for the choice is that weight loss is not one size fits all. Everyone else has different wants and needs. No one knows your body and its needs better than you. Some people feel great with 26 points, some need more. I personally struggle with 26 and when I count points (right now I am doing simply filling) I use 29. Whether you do it online or at meetings you have the choice to alter from 26-29. It's Weight Watchers way of making the plan a little more personalized.
