why am i having such a hard time
finding a cute pair of pjs for the hospital? i checked Macys and Penneys in the Green Mall but didnt find anything  i want a button down top to make nursing easier... and prefer a darker color (like a navy) in case of accidents. I also checked Marshalls & Kohls in Brooklyn but they SUCK and its getting really hard for me to shop. i can't stand on my cankles too long without needing to sit
am desperate for suggestions.

i have no suggestions for you because i don't live in NY anymore - but i just wanted to tell you that i feel your pain!!! i found one cute pair on sale at mimi's but that's it. i've been to all levels of department stores and haven't found a thing

Just a thought, but are you really set on PJs, or could you use a nightgown or nightshirt? I'm thinking of that since I'm not sure what size I will be after the baby is born, and it should be easier for hospital staff to check things out if they need to do so.

I had a hard time just finding a cotton nightshirt for the summer.
Now I see them all over.

Did you try motherhood. They had some really cute sets the last time I was there. And they were inexpensive.

My Mom found two pairs for me at Sears, their department was small but one is a nursing pajama and the other is just a button down top. I hope you find something soon and feel better!

I bought nursing pajama's from pajamagram.com They were a little pricey but DEFINITELY worth it...they were soooooo comfy!

see i'm afraid to order online because i want to wash them and have them here now...
i did buy one nightgown and robe set (just to have something decent) but i swear I look like a fat Laura Ingalls Wilder from little house on the prarie! its long sleeve with little flowers and long length

I found one button down pair of pjs in Penneys and then i was going to just buy comfy pj botttoms and a nursing tank i have also been looking and havent found much either

I signed up just so I could answer your question. I also had a hard time finding beautiful nightwear before I had my twins. I wanted something fabulous so I went to www.bellablumaternity.com. They are quite pricey but I found exactly what I wanted there. Unfortunately they no longer have the set that I purchased. When I had my babies all of the new moms and the nurses asked me where I got my set. I don't know if this is the kind of thing you are looking for so I hope it helps. Good luck.

I understand how you feel. I actually live in Brooklyn and went to Baby Depot at the Burlington Coat Factory in Atlantic Center. I bought two pairs of nursing pajamas but they are in light colors. One is really light, but the other is a turquoise color. I went back to try to fins something their in a darker color, but I did not. I just decided that I would deal with the lighter colors. Baby Depot has a regular nightgown department and they also have some nursing nightgowns int he maternity section.

this is what I wore, I wore it with the matching shorts. Its not expensive and it was SUPER comfy. I didn't get any blood on it whatsoever.

I used lighter colors because they were all I could find for button down. I had no problems with accidents!
