Why are people so mean to pregnant women?
Within the last hour I had one person impersonate me "waddling" (for the record I'm only 25 weeks and I DO NOT WADDLE.) and another person asked me if I was SURE I wasn't having twins.

I just think that in some places, they tend to hire socially awkward people and those people don't know how to interact with normal human beings

I never thought the comments were mean. I did waddle at some point. I was huge early and looked like I could be having twins. I looked horrible during my pregnancy so really everything people said was true .

Exactly. If someone is overweight is it okay to call them fat just because it's true?

I agree - I know I am huge but, it doesn't help when someone I don't really talk to on a regular basis - and in some cases didn't even know - makes a comment about how I'm carrying.

DH and my Sister both imitated my waddling. DH would always chuckle every time he saw me walking.
I tried telling them it was mean but that just seemed to get them going.
Sorry ur going thru this.
ETA: As payback, I became even meaner and blamed it on the pregnancy

You are NOT waddling first of all. Second of all, you do NOT look like you're having twins! People say the DUMBEST things and both of those things have happened to me as well. Most days I just try to laugh it off but there are some days it upsets me still. Try not to let it get you down. You look beautiful and even if you DO waddle at some point, you're allowed to - you're having a BABY for crying out loud.
