Why do I feel so gulity for not making enough milk??

Please tell me to get over it!!!!!! Please say something to make me feel better...

this is what helped me.

formula has vitamin D and other vitamins in it that vary in bm.

so while I'd love to have given him only BM he is getting certain benefits from the formula. I never had to give him Vit D supplements.

it's a small comfort, but it's there.

ETA: no one can tell you to get over it. you have to come to that yourself. and you will. I was devastated but once I started thinking about it and looking at it logically, I felt better.

I am right there with you! If I could have breastfed for a year, I would have done it! But, I pumped today and got only 1 ounce!! It is over for me :( I am so sad about it too, but the baby doesn't seem to mind and appears to be thriving still. I am just happy I could do it for as long as I had.

I was formula fed, and I am pretty close to perfect myself so you have nothing to worry about

I dont think Im going to be able to keep up with my DD's needs soon either. She eats 4oz. every 3 hours. I dont make that. I can get 4oz. in about 5 hours...no matter how much I pump or drink I cant seem to increase my supply

She has been getting a little bit of formula for the past 2 weeks. I feel bad but I keep telling myself she NEEDS to get enough, and its not about my pride, its about her thriving and she is.

Its ok, as long as your baby is healthy thats all that matters! Just wanted you to know that there are many others in your boat!
