Why do some people take baby aspirin?
What is the reason for it? Should I be on it during my 2ww?

I went to a Hemotoligist this past monday I have MTFRG factor.. Not even sure if that is the correct name my blood is a little on the thick side so she put me a low dose asprin, a folic acid pill..and when i get my pregnancy results I call her and I may or may not have to do the Hemprin shots   Sorry So much info

You (sami) have MTHFR, and you may take Heparin or Lovenox.
Yes, some REs advise to take baby aspirin if you have a chance of clotting.

Yes I do have this but only one gene (if that makes sense so the Hemotoligist said maybe I can control it with only an aspirin( ) Why do you or someone you know has this? I flipped when the Dr. told me! He was telling me the worst case scenarios strokes, heartattacks &miscarriages

I have both genes (homozygous) and take baby aspirin, Folgard, and Lovenox

I took it and was told it helps with the blood flow, especially to the uterus

I have MTHFR and i am on Metanx-Metanx is a broken down form of FA and B vitamins in one tiny pill. You should ask about this. One of the issues with the MTHFR gene is that we can not break down traditional folic acid and not all of it gets absorbed. Metanx contains the broken down form of FA.

I will try and find a link for you but I remember reading that baby asprin makes your platelets less sticky while heparin/lovenox makes your blood thinner so you do not clot as easily.

I think just to be safe I would ask for Lovenox. I was also told my one of my Dr's this should be taken 1dpo in a conception cycle.

It is important to check with your doctor before taking baby asprin. If you have issues with thin blood then asprin can make things worse.
I am on it because I am compound hetero for MTHFR among other things. I take 1 BA and 2 Foltx everyday. I will try this for 3 months and if no bfp then I start Lovenox at ovulation instead of + preggo test.
