 Sweetie, if it matters, I'M HERE!! 
I know people suck...unfortunately...there's nothing else to say on that. 
We'll just continue praying for Rob's health...that's our focus! 
*And the upside of people not calling, is people acting like nothing's wrong. My family hasn't really acknowledged the "big C" and still treat my DH like all is A-OK. Which is kind of dissapointing. Again, people suck.*

It sux that people have to be that way in time of need...I am sorry you are going through this especially when you need friends/family the most!
I have to say though I was fortunate that when I was going through a hard time when my dad passed-my friends were amazing!!

I lost 2 of my closest friends when my dad died 10 years ago. I also gained one of my closest friends now because she really stepped up- and we were just casual friends. I had no expectations from her.
I agree- people just don't know what to say or do, so they do or say nothing. Its immature- but that is the way some people deal with it.
I'm sorry you are going through this, but the friends who are there for you now are truly golden.

I know what you mean. After going through losing my mom, you REALLY learn who matters and whoe doesn't unfortunately.

Sometimes people just don't know what to say or how to act. They would rather just back away from a situation. They don't understand that this behavior is very hurtful. It doesn't excuse them; it may just be an explanation for why they do it.
