why oh why do I watch A Baby Story & freak myself out?
I am scared of pain and these women look like they are always in tons of pain

Stop watching NOW!!!!!! Put down the remote and walk away!!!! This scared the ever loving Life out of me and I had an amazing birth and LABOR!!!!!!!!!

ladies its really not bad, esp if you get the epidural which I did, I can't speak otherwise without it. I had a great labor and delivery and it was nothing like tv!! Don't freak yourselves out!!

Let me tell you- my husband was on babycenter today and found a very cool animated video about the baby's development.
So he sends me the link to the page and goes- just scroll down to the baby development part- dont' watch that video.
So of course I now HAVE to watch the video (which by the way immediately starts playing when the page loads)
And it's a full blown video of a woman getting an epidural- needle going in and all.
And like a car wreck I watch it from start to finish. I coudln't look away as much as I wanted to.
Nice way to freak myself out!

It's so funny you wrote this. DH and I were just discussing that show. He said that they tell the women to act this way for ratings, because I was a nice "preggo in labor" , I never yelled or got mean with anybody. Labor wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be, and I was fully dialated before I got my epi ((which is another discussion lol)). I mean DS was only 7 months when we started trying again, so it couldn't be that bad lol.

Trust me when you are in that much pain you would just about give your soul for that giant needle. Plus you don't feel that you feel a small pinch and then pushing on your back. That was my experience atleast

yes that is what I figured and trust me- I'll take a jab in the back over labor any day I am sure.
But it was just seeing the whole process that freaked me out a bit...
