why would bathroom shower tiles crack? (new construction)
anyone know what would cause tiles to crack? Some grout has too.

My guess would be that house is settling and the tiles maybe shifted.

that's what we thought. they've been fixed 2 times already and it happend again, so we are worried it's something else.

- Sub flooring or wall may not be level - Too much grout or butting up to something that is not permitting expansion/contraction of tiles - Poorly made tiles - Sub-par installation - Person using shower uses EXTREMELY hot water and then blasts the AC making tiles rapidly expand and contract too fast - House settling - Too much weight is being put on the tiles

This happened to us(not new house, though) and it turned out we had structural problems and had to have our house jacked up and new support beams added. We hired an engineer to figure out what was wrong.
