Will a credit card lower its interest rate?
I have a CC that I've had for 15 years. I never used it much but started using it last year. I needed to pay some outstanding tuition last year so I put it on my card. I owe almost $4k. I make monthly payments of about $250-$275 but with an int rate of 10.99% I am paying about $30+ in interest per month. I feel like I'll never pay it off. I don't use the card (or any card) anymore.
Do you think the credit card company would be willing to lower the rate at all? How would I go about doing this if it is possible?

I'm not sure how good your credit is, but I always get in the mail 0% interest cc for balance transfers. Usually for 12 to 18 months.
I always take advantage of those promotions. HTH
