will his sleep get better?
i need to know, will he start to sleep better anytime soon? on monday he only woke twice once at 1:30 and again at 5:30, but this is not the norm...last night he woke at 1:30 then 3:30 then every hour afterwards till 8...how am i going to do this AND go back to work in 2 wks?
he's 6.5 wks old and breastfed. any tips that worked? i've tried swaddling which works well, however this morning i woke up to him covered by his blanket and i flipped out so back to teh sleep sacks tonight.
thanks in advance!

My kid will be 6 months next week - I'd LOVE to know when it gets better!

Re: will his sleep get better?
i agree with diana, i would try one of the swaddling blankets. i've never used the miracle blanket but the swaddle me has worked for us.
as far as the sleep pattern, i am in the same boat and ds is almost 10 weeks. he wakes up at about 2 and then at 4:30 and is up, restless, until 6 or 7. by the time he goes down again it's time for me to get up! going back to work is going to be a challenge

Re: will his sleep get better?
My DD was BF too and woke often until she was 4 months old. Up until then, she was up every 3-4 hours.
It will get better!!

SO many people told me that three months was the magic number and that is exactly when dd started to do the long 9-5 stretch. Your getting there!!!

I wish it was for us! DD has good days and not so good days and she is 4 months old. She goes to bed around the same time every night now. She is EBF and some nights she will sleep for 5-6 hrs, eat and go back to sleep for another 3 or more and other nights she is up every 3 hrs and it is hard to get her back to sleep around 4 or 5 am

Mine will be 8 months next week and he is still a night eater. We HAD progress, but we have had major regression in the past month, then we all got sick and now we are going away, so I guess it will have to be dealt with when we get back

Re: will his sleep get better?
Yes, it will get better! Same thing with Matteo at that age. It sounds exactly the same, the swaddle helped so much but we'd go get him when he woke and the blanket was up around his neck. We started to swaddle AND put the sleep sack over, so if the swaddle does break free it's contained in the sleep sack!!
I hope that helps! Also, we got a CD with white noise that helped him sleep longer (during naps and at night)!
