I would not trust it, I believe I read that Fauci said there is no guarantee the vaccine would even work

NO WAY! They are rushing it, and I understand why, but vaccines take years to create and test, and this is being rushed, and I dont trust it.
I dont get the flu shot, so why would I take this. I hope it doesnt get mandated, but who knows what Cuomo will do. He is money hungry .

No. Maybe after it's been around for a few years. But as of now, absolutely not for me or my kids.

God help us if they mandate this in order for children to return to school. That will be a sad, scary day for our state/country.

Yes in a heartbeat- they have AI now and things in place w technology that will help speed the process along much more than we had decades ago when more old fashioned testing took time.

No way would I voluntarily get the vaccine or give it to my kids. I am terrified of the vaccine. Much more terrified than I am of a virus. Unfortunately, I fear it will be mandatory to return to school.

I do think most people will line up in droves to get it though. People LOVE vaccines. They trust them implicitly and do not believe any side effects will happen to them or their kids.

And yet the same people are scared that if they let the kids out of the house they may possibly in the rarest of instances maybe get the virus which may possibly lead to certain Kawasaki-like symptoms maybe possibly.

I don't get it.

I guess you can say, I am in the love vaccines category since I do get the flu shot every year. But even with my asthma, I would be leery of this one. I feel like this is too political and they are rushing something through. I don’t know if I would trust how it was tested.

I am pretty sure I won’t get it even though I have asthma. I definitely won’t give it to my son and don’t want my husband to get it.

Here's how I see it. I know nothing about biochemistry, vaccine composition, etc. But the world, and even my world, is filled with people who are md's, biochemists, researchers, lab scientists, etc. Who have had years, sometimes decades of education and training. They know how things work and they're in a superior position to assess risks and effects.
Everyone will have to decide how they feel about the vaccine versus braving their chances out in the world. I will be laser focused on the folks with the training and how they feel about they and their kids being vaccinated and how they assess the risk. I will do as they do.
I don't care at all about disgraced scientists who use pseudoscience and paranoia to trigger ignorant people. I admit to being ignorant, but I will be watching those who actually appreciate and understand what is going on on a big picture and on a detailed level.

I am NOT anti-vax at all as my kids and I are fully vaccinated. That being said, no, I will NOT get this vaccine in the short term because I feel like they are going to rush this through without conducting the proper testing and protocol for safety and efficacy. Let's face it, Trump is a big, dumb moron who cares about nothing but his re-election so the faster he can get us all pumped up with a vaccine whether it's safe or effective the better for HIM, not us.

Once the vaccine is PROVEN safe and effective over time then yes, I will certainly get the vaccine. But I sure as sh!t won't pump myself and my kids up with a vaccine in the coming months that was pushed through just for the sake of getting a vaccine to market.

this. on every point.

None of us would be the first to receive the vaccine unless we participated in a trial.

I will take a look at the data once it’s approved. If I’m comfortable with the data then yes, I would get it.

Exactly this! And this is for me personally, my children I would need to think about and need long term data in children first before deciding. Depends on risk/ benefit

I am so confused by people who don't want to be in the first wave of those vaccinated, but who can't wait to be out there, maskless, for the first wave of reinfection, and among the earliest infections in the world. We still know so little about the disease.

I don't mind wearing a mask, or really doing anything else they ask of me if it means we can start reopening. I think a lot of people just simply aren't afraid of getting it. I will do what they ask of me because I don't want to make others uncomfortable if they are worried. But I am not worried about getting this virus. The odds are I will eventually get it, I can't spend my life terrified of that.

Yes. I want to live my life again. I’ll inject myself with anything at this point.
