William and Kate Reveal Baby's Due Date – July
No, it won't be twins. But a "delighted" Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their baby in July, their office said Monday.
"Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in July," read the simple statement, released by the Palace at 11 a.m. London time.
"The Duchess's condition continues to improve since her stay in hospital last month," the statement also said. Kate sought treatment in early December for severe morning sickness.
A Palace source confirms Kate is not expecting twins. The source adds that the couple will not be revealing the sex of the baby.
A July arrival would allow the baby to share the same birth month as William's late mother Diana, Princess of Wales, who was born on July 1.
Insiders say that the timing of the announcement means they have likely had their scans to show that the pregnancy is going according to plan. There is clear relief around the Palace that they have been able to release the news.

Wow so they really announced it while the stick was still wet. There must've been something else going on in England where attention wasn't wanted,so this was the distraction. That's the only thing th at makes sense IMO.

I don't think she announced it any earlier than other celebs. Who cares, it will be a beautiful baby regardless of when it was announced.

It was announced early only because she was hospitalized for the MS. If they would have lied and said it was the flu, then the couple would have been hounded even more with pregnancy rumors.
Kudos for them for sucking it up and letting the entire world know early.

Wow so they really announced it while the stick was still wet. There must've been something else going on in England where attention wasn't wanted,so this was the distraction. That's the only thing th at makes sense IMO.

I might be wrong but I didn't think they annouced. Didn't Kate go to the Hospital and some radio station called and tricked a nurse into giving the info that she was preggo.
That is the nurse that then went on to kill herself over it.

No the Palace made an official announcement of her pregnancy right after she was admitted to the hospital. I guess they felt they didn't want to hide the reason she was hospitalized.
The radio station did call the hospital after that and got the nurse to disclose her condidtion and info she wasn't supposed to disclose.

Got it, I thought it was the other way around. I thought the official statement came out after the Radio Show called.
