First baby and going past due date
So, i am due in 6 days and nothing is happening, no dialation, nada... her head is down but not engaged either..cervix is high and firm, lol.
Does labor sometimes just boom happen or am i doomed to be late! My mom was telling me she went a couple days late with each of us and she just went and went fast...
I am all nervous about going way past the due date but i guess i have to be patient..anyone go late?

Re: First baby and going past due date
I had no signs of labor with my dd. Then day after due date, that morning I woke up in labor. Still no clue when I lost plug and when got to hospital didnt know if water broke b/c didnt see or feel any puddles. Doctor did cervix check in hospital and no sac to break... still no clue when it happened.
So dont stress out about it.. Things will happen when your body is ready for them too.. mine did.

Re: First baby and going past due date
With my first pregnancy I was 11 days late. No signs of anything. My doctor had to strip my membranes to get things started.

Re: First baby and going past due date
I had a Dr. appointment the day after my due date. I was 3 cm dialated but no other signs. He stripped my membranes and I woke up the next morning in labor. Had he not done that, I would have had an induction because of high blood pressure.
