Wills, Life Insurance
Do you have wills and life insurance? Without kids, we don't feel motivated to put the cash towards doing it.
We have small life policies thru work, but nothing significant. We are lucky that we could pay the mortgage, etc. Our wills would be nothing but leaving everything to each other.
I don't know where to start on this, so I admit we're just being lazy. Was wondering what the other CF folks do.

Re: Wills, Life Insurance
we went to a financial advisor and set up and investment insurance plan. we made sure that it covers the cost of our house and then some, in case of the death of one or both of us. Our next task is to get a will.

Re: Wills, Life Insurance
I do have life insurance. To cover expenses associated with a funeral, whatever debt I have and then some. Hey, I may not have kids but I have a younger sibling - if anything happens to me, I'm glad that someone I love receives those benefits.
Once I buy a home, I will then have a will drawn up.

Re: Wills, Life Insurance
We have both. Our home is almost paid off & we have some investments. If anything should happen to both of us everything will be split between our nieces & nephews. Also I think that even though its just the 2 of you should have a will there is a reason I just dont remember the reason at the moment.

Re: Wills, Life Insurance
We havelife insurance, we got it when we bought the house.
We have to do a will to cover everything b/c i don't want any issues with family if something should happen to us together, you never know.

Re: Wills, Life Insurance
With respect to a Last Will and Testament, it is always advisable to have one drawn up. Having a Will ensures that your intentions are known and carried out. If you die intestate, or without a Will, the state will decide who gets your property, without any regard as to your feelings toward family members, or any special relationships you may have formed outside of your family.
