Window paper shades from Home depot?
We need to put these shades up temporarily. Has anyone used these shades at all? Has anyone experienced frustration with the adhesive sticking to the window frames when you take them down? TIA

Re: Window paper shades from Home depot?
I used them before I got window treatments and they totally stuck to the window frame. We have wood frames if that makes a difference. It p issed me off big time bc they were painted frames since they were wood and it took the paint with it. Brand new paint job. Luckily it was white so not really noticable but what the heck...I was mad!!

Re: Window paper shades from Home depot?
I had them for 2 years. We finally got rid of them, recently
They do the job and they start to lose their stickyness but only after using them for a year and a half
From the outside they look like custom blinds

Re: Window paper shades from Home depot?
Mine totally stuck. Luckily I put them ALL the way next to the window on a thin strip of plastic, so they didn't damage the wood molding, BUT I am still trying to get the sticky residue off.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Goo gone didn't work.

Re: Window paper shades from Home depot?
I have used these and never have had any problems. Maybe it stuck because the paint was new?

Re: Window paper shades from Home depot?
okay, embarrased to say but we STILL have them up after ummmm... what 5 years living in our house DH will not hire someone to do the window moulding, so annoying! Anyway, they have stayed up that long. We haven't had any probs.
