Re: Wish me luck girls... UPDATE
i think, given your history, and all the scary stories we hear in the news, that your fears are not crazy at all! i am so glad to hear the numbers came back good! from what i hear, us mommies won't stop worrying about our kids EVER so this just means you've got a head start on the rest of us

Re: Wish me luck girls... UPDATE
most of us share the same anxiety issues. There is mental and physical retardation on my mom and das side of the family so I understand.
Try to stay positive !

Re: Wish me luck girls... UPDATE
Take each step one at a time. Discuss it with your DH. No, the amnio does not and cannot possibly test for everything, but it can reduce some of your fears and allow you to relax at least a little bit so you can enjoy your pregnancy. Feel free to FM me any time.

Those #'s are good! And I believe she told me that this is the most accurate test they have now and further testings are not as accurate (have a higher rate of false positives)! Calm down, don't worry. We all have fears, but you cant spend your pregnancy worrying or you wont enjoy it.

Re: Wish me luck girls... UPDATE
Gabi I'm so happy your test results came out well! It is so scary facing these potenial challenges. DH has a son with Autism and a nephew with Downs - he was terrified to TTC, I am nervous too, but I've decided there is nothing I can do about it and I am trying to remain positive.
Try not to stress yourself out, we have to accept that there is a remote possibility that something could go wrong, but the odds are that everything will go right
