wood floors-cleaning question

Hi

I am buying a home with all wood floors and I never had that before.

I want to give a REALLY good super duper cleaning when I get the house next week. What is good for a heavy cleaning the first time?

Also, how do I maintain them week to week on a normal basis?

I need as much help as possible Chat Icon

Thanks!

Re: wood floors-cleaning question

i use orange glo (i find it at CVS) it is the best!! you can buy the system (but i forgot where i found it) and it comes with a swifter type mop and a dustless cloth that fits on it (i ruined the cloth by not rinsing it out right away and need to replace it, so for now i just iattach a dustless rag (the kind you use on cars) to a swifter.

you spray down a section at a time and then mop, it drys pretty quick and it leaves my floors very shiney. i can actually see reflections in it. I love this stuff.

i clean my floors once a week

a lot of other people say they use a system from bed bath and beyond.[

Re: wood floors-cleaning question

I use Bono I believe it is. They sell it at BBB. I love it. If you want a more "Green" cleaning Method has a system for hardwood floors. Check it out. They sell it at Lowe's & Target. Target is cheaper.

Once a week I either vacuum the floors first and dry mop them and then I use the Bono cleaner.
