Wood Kingdom vs Creative Playthings

What is the difference between the 2? Is quality better on one?

I see such a difference in price. I'm just a littl confused. I have been to Wood Kingdom & just got a catalog from Creative Playthings. They seem comparable.

I went with creative playthings because they offered the chemical free wood. I think wood kingdom only has that if you order the PVC set which is pricey.

I liked the stuff at Creative Playthings better, but the Pine they use is also chemically treated -- all pine is or it wouldn't be strong enough. If you want no chemicals you have to get solid redwood (or cedar, but I think most cedar is treated with sealants), which is really expensive. Creative Playthings does offer redwood sets, but they didn't have any in the showrooms we went to. In the end we bought this solid redwood (so no chemicals) set from Costco.

We went to both showrooms and hands down LOVED CPT better than WK. We felt the quality was better all around. You can just "see" the difference. But it can be very subjective. The prices were about the same, but CPT offered us more with specials than WK.

I would say go to both and see for yourself. Both places have a LOT of choices to offer.

Wood Kingdom sells sets from several different manufacturers. Creative Playthings manufactures their own. I thought the CP sets were better made (which is what we ended up purchasing).
