Wood Swing Sets from Costco or Toys-R-Us?
Does anybody have one from either of those stores? Any Pros? Cons?
I'm eyeing a few, but kind of torn. My DH wants to get the one from Costco that they carry in the store (he's impatient and doesn't want to order and wait for delivery), but I've seen some other ones online that I think look more "fun".
This is the one my DH wants to pickup at Costco:
Rainbow Double-Decker Set
This is the one I'm pushing for (although I don't think my hard sell is working ):
Big Skye II
These are the 3 that caught my eye on the TRU website:
Windsor II
Sheridan
Lexington (the one I'm leaning towards the most from TRU)
All I keep thinking about is "if I was a kid, which would be the most fun."
What would you guys pick?

The Big Skye II totally looks the most fun! Three slides!!!!
I know nothing of the practicality of it all, but it does look the most fun. My 2nd choice would be the last one you posted, but the regular slide is really small.

My eyes bugged when I saw the Big Skye set. Even my daughter said "OOohhh Daddy!" when she saw it. LOL It's a bit more than my DH wants to pay, but it does seem to be made with better materials (which is going to be part of my next sales pitch. )
Yeah, that regular slide is really on the weak side. It almost seems pointless, but we do currently have a 1yr old, so it would work for him for a while (and there's always the possibility we'll have a #3. )

I like this one! Especially the picnic table and the covered slide looks like it has an extra turn!

The quality of the TRU sets are just not as good as the Rainbow at Costco so I voted Rainbow

Yeah, it's defiinitely the baby slide, which could be good, so your son doesn't have to wait as long to play on it too. However, when they are bigger, they will use it as a ramp & walk up it.
Also, it has window boxes! Too cute! I like that one better than the one your husband picked.

this one for sure. my eyes lit up like a kid in a candy shop. Really this one looks like the most fun. I hope you win your sales pitch. You can always show him the results of this post if it goes your way.

I like the Sky II and Lexington. If you could combine the picnic table of the lexington into the slide features of the Sky, then I would be in heaven (even as an adult!)

I have no experience with buying swing sets, but I just wanted to say I LOVE the Big Sky II. As a kid I was ALL ABOUT slides and that would have been heaven for me! The in stock model at Costco looks like it might get boring quick. Sorry hubby!

some reviews on this link.
I am just not a fan of covered slides. Just mu own hang up about cleanliness, critters, creatures, etc. So that being said, I purchased the Rainbow double decker and had it installed about a month ago. My boys love it. They eat out at the picnic table all the time. Me too! It is so sturdy that you will not budge this set. (if put together properly. Really strong hardware and beams. My big concern was the bigger posts and wood being used and the hardware. I actually cancelled a creative playthings $2500 set once I saw the Rainbow. Good luck. I hope you are able to get the one you love!

The TRU sets are now off the table.
I'm still fighting for my Gorilla set though.

Those are all awesome . Just a word of caution. Check with your town about any height restrictions.

Re: Wood Swing Sets from Costco or Toys-R-Us?
I just though of you. Last night we were at a friends house and they had one of the sets from TRU.....so glad you decided not to get it from TRU it was sooo crickety. My son and their son were on and it was moving back & forth. The hardware was not industrial and the set the wood was cheap.

Re: Wood Swing Sets from Costco or Toys-R-Us?
we got a floor model from the place on 109 ... i can't remember the name of the place. it was 1500.00 and they took it down in the store, and put it up here.
i do not like covered slides either, too clostrophobic feeling.
my kids don't really use the picnic table underneath. i go up top and look at the nieghboors houses. i am nosy...
