wooden swing set for 2 year old? yay or nay?
dd is going to be 2 this summer and we are debating if we should get her a wooden swingset or not. she has a plastic climber at her 'school' and she is already bored with it, she likes the BIG slides at the playground. and LOVES swings.
but im concerned with the safety of it, most of the ones we are looking at in our price range/brands we want are very open on the top and i just worry that she could fall. i would have to be going up and down with her every time, and she could do it for hours!
so torn, we took her to wood kingdom and she loved them, screamed when it was time to leave!
do you think we should wait till next year? or will she be ok on it.

Ann turns 3 on July 1st ... we decided against it last year but I'm hoping to talk DH into it for this year (I know he just doesn't want to have to put it together! )
(I ended up getting a Little Tykes doouble slide thing from Craigslist last year)

DS will be 2 in Sept and we plan on getting one this summer.
When we go to the park he loves going on the swing sets, down the slide, etc.. and we are standing right there with him the entire time so we plan on doing the same at home.

Re: wooden swing set for 2 year old? yay or nay?
We got a creative playthings set last Easter. DD#2 turned 2 back May. So she was about 23 months old. DD#1 was almost 4. I would do it again. My 2 year old has gotten a lot of use out of it and it just means we will get that many more years out of it.
If you do though I would just be prepared to be there with them when they climb. I stayed with her when she played until I was confident that she was safe.
