Ours is at Cipriani on 42nd Street across from Grand Central!
Should be nice!
Ours was there last year and this year. They just sold part of my company that I am in so I don't think I can go now!

Re: Work Holiday parties?
I work for a very large company - so they split it by area, and it's still a very large group.
The past two years have been at Dave and Buster's. They close it to the public. It's ok, the food is never great.

Re: Work Holiday parties?
Just booked our date, now I need to decide on the menu so I can get a price. Employees pay their way - it's not corporate sponsored.
As a matter of fact, I believe the corp position is they are not allowed.

Re: Work Holiday parties?
we are having ours at a local K of C, which is awesome because then we can afford to have an open bar and a DJ, and it's still only $35 per person. the board members of our union plan it.
i actually can't wait to go, i wasn't able to last year.

I am not going but ours is at the United Nations that sounds very cool! I don't think they will ever be able to compete with last years. Last year it was at the Hard Rock Cafe with crazy food, 2 DJs and impersonators.

Re: Work Holiday parties?
I work at a small preschool. From what I've heard, we have the party afterschool one day upstairs in the "penthouse" (aka the third floor). Nothing terribly exciting.
DH works for a small company, and they tend to have them at random places in the city. Last year was at a wine store, with little food, but lots of wine!

Re: Work Holiday parties?
We had ours at some nice venues like Radio City, United Nations, Windows on the World and the Rainbow Room, however everyone always wanted an invite to the MTV party because they were usually insane

Pasta Pasta in Port Jeff...A lunch during the work day. I love it; my old office used to have larger parties at night, but I'd rather be missing work time for it!
We do the same thing. The administrators take us out to some fancy restaurant in the area - sometimes it's Mirabelle's on 25A in St. James or Pace's in Port Jeff. It varies year to year. We leave for lunch and never go back to the office. Well, I don't.
