Re: working and keeping house
I had a hard time with this in the 1st tri and DH told me to hire someone. By the time I found someone I liked I was in my 2nd tri and felt good enough to do it myself. So I didnt bother to hire her. Now that I am in my 3rd tri and still working, I have someone come in once a week to clean. I just dont have the energy to do it nor the flexibilty to clean all the nooks and crannies.

Re: working and keeping house
We have someone in every other week- I do it in between, DH has been really helpful in straightening up here & there. i have to say 2 weeks less per month of scrubbing floors, toilet & tub is *huge*

Re: working and keeping house
I remember with DD#1 I worked 12-14 hours a day and traveled plus took care of the house and all the other duties and errands that comes with it. Now with being a SAHM and having a preschooler I wish for those days of just working and coming home to do whatever
Just take it slow and have DH do more. Mine never did enough

Re: working and keeping house
ya, i've been really lazy the last 3 months. I will attempt to do the bare minimum this weekend. The bathroom is not getting cleaned as often as it should and the laundry has been piling up!

Re: working and keeping house
I've not been working officially full time, although it feels like i'm constantly there... and i have def been slacking in the house cleaning, but last night Brian decided to clean up for me.... it felt so nice to wake up and not have to think about anything needing to be cleaned.

Re: working and keeping house
DH was doing a lot of it until we moved into our house. Now he's busy with a lot of house stuff, and some of it I can't or shouldn't do, so I do most of the housework.
The house isn't disgusting, but I can't say it's really as clean as I'd like either. I just do my best and figure I can't push it.
