I have an hour for lunch. I go home and eat. I try and not do housework.

No - I'm a teacher, so my 43 minute lunch is usually in my classroom. I don't leave the building until the school day is over.

I usually talk a walk and see what catches my eye. I never really do any errands unless I have too.

Re: Working Moms and Lunch Breaks

I try to run most of my errands during lunch.

All my socialization with my non-mommy friends is during lunch. I have a few lunch dates a week.

I'm lucky if I get to eat. I wish I could run errands at lunch. I only get 35 minutres and that's if I am lucky.

I only get lunch breaks 3 of the 5 days and ds is with my parents on those days. I get an hour so I run there, wolf down my lunch & then nurse him. Most days lunch time is just as exhausting as work time for me lol

Re: Working Moms and Lunch Breaks

No shopping for me--I park in a garage 10 mins away from my building, so no time to leave and then come back.

I have always worked through lunch, even before having a baby.

But now, I pump for 1/2 hour and then grab a salad and go back to my desk.

Re: Working Moms and Lunch Breaks

I love love loooooove my lunch break. I get most of my food shopping done in the morning after I drop off Athan with my mom and before I go into the office. During lunch I do the "other" shopping if needed - Target, Babies R Us, Carters, etc. And if I don't need anything for Athan/home I go to the library, DSW, get a mani/pedi... I LOVE IT!!! Chat Icon

Re: Working Moms and Lunch Breaks

I get so much done in my lunch hour. I work right by Penn Station. So I have Macys, Old Navy, K-mart etc... It's also when I do all my banking. We have a salon right next door to my building so I go there for pedicures in the summer.
