Working Moms of Toddlers
Sorry I just need to vent, hope you all don't mind, but my DH works from home now and my mother in law watches my kids (who are 3 and a 1/2) two days a week. Over the past few months I have been really down about being a working mom because after being emotionally drained at work, I come home to two kids who are absolutely the worst...temper tantrums, hitting me, kicking me, throwing things.
DH seems to know exactly what they need or want..I feel like I know nothing. They call me Grandma the first hour I am home.
I just have been so emotional lately because this is not what I envisoned it to be.....I do want to work...being a SAHM is not for me....but I feel like I know nothing of what my kids need. I find myself getting angry or emotional if I can't figure out what my kids are saying or if my DH knows something they love to eat that I had no idea.
I don't remember it being this hard when they were younger, but then again work has been pretty tough lately. I just need to know if this gets better as they get out of the terrible threes. I feel so disconnected from my kids, and so guilty if I want to do anything for myself outside of my kids because they see so little of me - or at least I feel that way.
