Re: Working Moms: What are your hours?
I drop off DD at 7:15. If I pick her up, I get her by 5:45. If DH picks her up it is earlier, b/t 4:30 and 5:00. I went back to work on 12-30. It is an eternity and it sucks rocks.

Re: Working Moms: What are your hours?
Drop offs are 7:45am & 8am. I catch an 8:11am train to the city, get home by 6:00pm-ish.
I'm at work from 9:30am to 4:40pm but I'm working on the train on the way in, the way out & sign on at night.

Re: Working Moms: What are your hours?
Somedays I work overnights, some I work first shift and some I work second shift. We both work 24 hour jobs, so we rotate our hours around one another. At some point, either DH or I are home with DS. It's all weird and confusing.

Re: Working Moms: What are your hours?
When I had my DD I worked full time 3 days in the office 2 days at home. My office days I dropped off at 8 - 8:15, got to work between 8:30 - 9 left at 4:30 sharp, picked them up got home between 5 - 5:30.
After DS I quit my FT job and went PT. So I work 3 days now (with 2 days off.) Me and my DH leave at 7:45 - he drops them off at 8am and I pick them up at 5:30. Get home around 6.
It's not ideal, but I enjoy the 2 extra days at home

Re: Working Moms: What are your hours?
I work pretty much 9-5:30
But my commute stinks - its over an hour.
So we don't walk in at night until 7:30.
I'm getting day care close to where I work so I can spend some time with my DC.

Re: Working Moms: What are your hours?
9-5 job... I leave at 8:30 to drop off DD at daycare, if DH isnt home in am. Otherwise he takes her.
Home by 5:15 to pick her up.
My commute is 10 min, even with going to daycare.

Re: Working Moms: What are your hours?
We leave at 8:30AM, I drop DS off around 9 at daycare and get to work 15 mins later. Usually work until anywhere between 2 and 3PM and DS and I get home about an hour later.

Re: Working Moms: What are your hours?
Wake up at 4:45am out the door by 5:50am At my desk at 6:30, 50 minutes to get work done/copies before my first class. DH does morning drop off/IL's do it when he travels
Most days I get home with about 20 minutes to spare before I have to pick them up. I'll throw in a load of laundry, start dinner or run a quick errand.
I pick them up at 4 pm.
Most nights, after their bedtime/chores, I work at least an hour until 9 or 10pm.

Re: Working Moms: What are your hours?
M-F I leave my house at 7am I get home at earliest 6:34pm
generally speaking you could say 7am-7pm
For me it helped that I took a week before I went back to work and just stayed home (well actually i was super busy). She was in daycare but I wasnt at work. Just so I could get used to her not being with me all day.
I have TONS of photos of her at the office and mostly that first week folks just wanted to ask and hear tons of AJ stories and that helps. Jim got me a digital picture frame so I can see her all day.. that helps too.
Maybe Im a lucky one.. and I do love my daughter to pieces but I felt really good about her daycare and it wasnt as hard as I thought it would be to leave her. I understand its me working towards long term goals for her. I work, for her. Jim sees her to daycare and home from daycare.
But the moment we're together !!! She's my little buddy. Even if sometimes she is asleep the whole time, I hold her and believe she feels me and my warmth, the sound of my voice and breathing like she did when she was in me. I try to tell myself I am keeping up that bond anyway I can.
It does get easier!
