Worms???
Okay so we took Jedi to the vet today and the vet gave us a pill to give Jedi once a month for the rest of his life to prevent worms.  He doesn't have worms, but they suggest this.
Is this right? Is this the norm?

Sounds like you are talking about Heartworm and they do this for all dogs. Your pup will be on Heartworm medication for his whole life.

yep we do it. Heartworm can be fatal, so prevention is better than trying to treat it.

Must be for heartworms. Very VERY important. Much different from what Nathan had which was hookworms in his intestines. Your vet was 100% right.

Always make sure you have the meds before they run out, some vets will give you notice when you should get them...
