Worst thing about Christmas
For me....
putting the dang lights on the tree. I dread doing it. My tree sat naked for days just because I was procrastinating. Normally I am very ana! about stringing them; I don't like to see too much wire showing. This year there is a lot showing and you know what... doesn't look that bad! Guess I've been killing myself forever over nothing.
What do you dread going into the holiday season?

Hands down - the time and expense involved with visiting everyone we want to see (and some who we really don't but are obligated to see anyway  ) on and around the holidays. It gets crazy!

taking it all down. definitely the worst.
and those last few presents, the ones you just can't figure out what to get! Grr, I always have a few of those. I have like 3 right now and I am stumped!!

oh, I HATE the lights. And here is the kicker. I did my tree lst week, looked wonderful. Went to plug it in on Sat, when MIL was coming ALL but 1 set of lights are DEAD!!! So now I HAD beautiful tree that has 4 sets of dead lights on them. This after they worked all week.
That, and since my grandpa passed its just not the same.

ok...what the *@#@# is with electricians & not liking putting lights on a tree?!
I thought marrying one should mean I wouldn't have to do this, right?

I haven't even started putting my decorations up! I got busy "preparing" and haven't started yet.
I keep thinking to myself that I will just have to take stuff down in a few weeks.

I agree. And I don't even put alot up.
Hopefully it's nothing like last year when I fell through my ceiling putting everything back in the attic

I DESPISE taking everything down and putting it away when the time has come.
The lights really send me into a rage too---thank goodness my DH puts the lights on the tree and I decorate.

The putting away part is easy. Rip it all down and shove it in boxes. Takes no time at all.
It is time consuming to put everything out in a nice spot.
And Barb... it's the not wanting to see the wires and plugs. I tell you: It's carved in our skulls!

Trying to find time to fit it all in- we have a ton of holiday activities around us from the Sandman/Snowman building contest on Sat morning to Holiday Fireworks night on Sunday. Add in a few holiday parties, making cookies, decorating, wrapping, etc and I am exhuasted just thinking about it.
