Would/Have you ever used babysitting service for your infant/toddler at a Resort?

Going away in Dec to an all inclusive resort with our 10month old..I'm not sure if I could even go through with leaving my child with a foreign stranger, but I was wondering if anyone has ever done this, would consider it, or has any good or BAD experiences with it...Thanks!!!Chat Icon

I haven't, but my aunt and uncle recently went to Jamaica and had "nannies" for my 2 cousins every day. The boys LOVED the nannies. They did all sorts of fun activities and my aunt and uncle got to have some alone time. My cousins are older though (they are 4 and 8 years old).

I don't think I could. While it would be nice to have a night out, I don't think I could trust total strangers with my son.

Definitey not with a infant or toddler. We have used camp type group child care at Walt Disney World when the kids were three and would do that again, but a 1:1 child care situation with an infant or toddler is not something I feel comfortabe with.

Ditto. I just couldn't leave my babies with a stranger, matter how qualified or whatever kind of references they have. We opt instead to go to the types of resorts with onsite daycare like Club Med and Beaches.

i think in an established place like Beaches where they do this all the time i would be comfortable with it...either in the camp or the 1 to 1 babysitting in your room.
