Would you cancel the trip?
My sister is getting married in Vegas next month--for a lot of reasons (including money, time off from work for my DH and just the challenges of long trips with a 2 year old and a 6 month old) I decided to go alone. My 6 month old is EBF and we have had a very difficult time with bottles. He flat out refuses one from me and will entertain the idea from DH but basically has a couple sips and waits for me to return, even if it's another hour or more after he is hungry. My ped said to keep working on the sippy cup, which I am, but I am not sure what I can really expect by next month. My ped said he might lose a little weight while I am gone, but he will probably be okay. This just kills me, I don't want him to be hungry or upset the whole time I am gone (2.5 days) and I know taking care of 2 kids alone will be enough of a challenge without dealing with this. WWYD? I could take the baby with me, but I chose flights late a night and with connections to save money and it will be a lot of travel. Help!!!!!!!!!!!

How would it work if you took the baby with you? Would someone be there to watch him while you were doing wedding things?

I would have to watch him---they are basically eloping (we only found out about the wedding in May)--but a few family and close friends are going. We are also going to see them in September for a week as my sisters and I vacation together with our families once a year. So originally we were thinking we would have a party for them then, but I felt it was only right I go to the actual ceremony in vegas. Everyone keeps telling me he won't starve himself, but I am so nervous!

Don't cancel. I think it will be fine either way. If it's not a problem to take him, that might be easier for you

Re: Would you cancel the trip?
I wouldn't cancel. If he's hungry, he'll eventually eat. Yes it's hard to think about but honestly it's your sister's wedding and probably means a lot to her for you to be there. Easier said than done I know but he'll be OK. If you really can't bear the thought of leaving him with DH then I would take him with you but really Vegas with a baby IMO will not but fun at all.

Re: Would you cancel the trip?
I would do a hard core trial before leaving. Like no bfing at all for 2 days.
