Would you clean your neighbor's side of your PVC fence?
We have a fence around our property - totally paid for by us. The side that borders the northside of our property is horribly stained with green mildew or whatever it is. But the staining is all on my neighbor's side. Our side needs a powerwashing to look spiffy but is not nasty like her side. Would you clean her side too? My DH says yes since it is our fence. I don't care - if he wants to do it, it's up to him but it's a PVC fence, I doubt the green staining is harming the PVC...it's more of a visual thing. She hasn't said anything about it - they never use their yard that I've seen in 5 years (so jealous too, they have a HUGE lush yard) but I am not generally as beneficent a person as he is. I'm not a beyotch nor do I have anything against the neighbor but I sort of think that if it's just a visual thing, is it our job to clean it? It's a good stretch of PVC and it's pretty cruddy so I would assume it would take awhile. WWYD?

Re: Would you clean your neighbor's side of your PVC fence?
no i don't really think you have to...but it is so nice of you to think of doing it! i always clean my side of my neighbor's PVC fence. it is theirs but i never would expect them to come over and clean it. i feel lucky just having the PVC border my property and i didn't have to pay for it!
edited to add that cleaning it isn't the worst but isn't the easiest job. i use a hose, bucket, scrubber, and a little clorox to do the job. it's a pain!

Knowing me, I would. Can you powerwash it? That way it's quicker?

I would, especially if I was using a power washer. It's easy enough, and this way you don't have to look at their dirty grime.

There's no way I'd clean it. If D's feeling "beneficient" (nice word, BTW ), tell him he can come over here and powerwash my PVC, too.
ETA: You guys have a powerwasher, right? We have one if you need it.

Re: Would you clean your neighbor's side of your PVC fence?
I think it's a very nice gesture to ask your neighbors if they'd like you to wash it, but I wouldn't go ahead and do it on my own.
