Would you consider this lunch or a snack?
a 6 oz yoplait yogurt and just about a whole banana?
Aly seems to be stretching her awake time in the AM....so I've been giving her something to eat before she goes down for her nap. Then when she wakes up (usually about 2 hrs later) I give her real lunch...a meat usually, veggie, and a carb (chicken nuggets, mac n cheese, green beans).
Would you consider the above her lunch or just a heavy snack?

seems like a heavy snack to me but it depends on the kid. If that fills her up then it's a meal, does that make sense?

for my DD that would be lunch with some toast..but she is a very picky eater and I just feel grateful if she eats that.

Jiavana is younger, but basically she usually has a yogurt and some puffs or cherrios for lunch.

Ryan would eat that for lunch. He is a picky eater and I would be lucky if he would eat that for me without complaining.

Same for my Luka. Today he had a slice of cheese, a banana and I am gonna try and see if he will eat the yogurt. He already turned down rissoto that I made last night.

Re: Would you consider this lunch or a snack?
For my son a heavy snack.
I do something similar - my son usually has a snack and then naps and wakes up and has a real lunch. Sometimes a heavy snack or sometimes picky stuff like pretzels or goldfish. Really depends on his mood...
If he eats lunch before his nap, then when he wakes up he would eat a heavy snack which is usually a yogurt and then a side of something else like that fruit or pretzels or crackers of something. But not his dinner - that he'd have a few hours later. He's a good, heavy eater I guess.
