Would you/do you wear a nameplate necklace??

i recently found my nameplate from who knows how many years ago! do you wear one? was wondering cuz i was thinking of wearing mine but don't want to look like i'm stuck in the 80's

I've worn mine since the age of 16 and I'm still wearing it. For me, it's a timeless piece ... and I love it.

My girlfriend has worn hers since the day she got it over 15 years ago and she's in her late 20's..

I like them depending on the style. I wear an inital sometimes now and I have friends who wear full nameplates. I would never wear the old nameplate I have from the 80s/90s. It is 3D and yellow gold and diamond chips I would get a flat silver one for now.

i still wear mine - i got one from my parents when i turned 13 or 15, can't remember... and then i lost it in college they got me a new one a couple of years ago for my birthday and i wear it a lot.

for me, it never went out of "style" - it's thin with a few diamonds, which i find very tasteful.

plus i have an original, unique name so it makes it more special for me.

I haven't worn mine since college because I stopped wearing yellow gold.

I still see people wearing them and some of them are young women so I think if you like it wear it. I don't like mine so I don't wear it.

I still wear mine. It means a lot to me, my mom had it made for my 16th birthday in the same font as hers is from her 16th birthday. Very simple, no diamonds.

Depends on the style of it. When I was a teenager I got a big script one with the first initial in all diamonds.. I would never wear that one now.

I got my neice a simple gold one, small, for xmas last year, she was 2. I think the style will stand the test of time and she'll be able to wear it.

For my 30th b-day this year I was considering asking for an all diamond name plate, but very thin, straight letters. Problem is my name has a lot of curvy letters.. so I don't think it would come out as I'd like it...

i relived my silver one after Carrie on SITC wore hers--but I was about 23 then

I actually have one from my sweet 16 from my parents that is all diamonds and on a solid rope chain, and after alot of thinking, I decided I wanted to sell it since it does seem 80ish. I meant to go get it appraised, but it is still sitting in my drawer.

Mine got stolen. Right out of my house when I had a stupid teenage party. I still long for it. I would definitely wear one if I had it.

Mine is yellow gold - I guess I could have it dipped, but the style seems a bit 'dated' to me .............

I can't really bring myself to 'sell' it though, I think it was my 1st Communion gift from my Parents -

I got mine for 6th grade graduation in 1988 It kind of looks it, too!

I won't sell it because it's from my mom &dad and sort of sentimental, but it's been gatehring dust in my jewelry box for at least a decade!

I have 2. Both are in gold one was given to me by my mother when I was 4. The other is all diamonds and was given to me on my 16th birthday from my godmother.

While I would probably never wear them again I will also never get rid of them.

it was old school yellow gold double plated with the name in diamond chips
