Would you get twin boys 2 separate gifts or one bigger gift?
DS has a bday party to attend next week. The boys are twins and turning 2.
I'd like to spend about $40-50 total.
Am I better off buying them 2 separate identical gifts or buying 1 big toy to share?
Could you please give recommendations for 2yo boys? Thanks.
Maybe I can take advantage of some of these big toy sales everyone is writing about and get both boys big toys.

Two kids. Two gifts. Unless you were buying them something like a swingset or a LittleTikes thing.

I don't know at that age when they may not realize it the parents may appreciate less clutter and one big gift.

Re: Would you get twin boys 2 separate gifts or one bigger gift?
We have twin boys in the family that just turned 4. Every birthday we give them two separate gifts, but different ones. SIlly to have two drums or two of anything. For the age of 2, DS really got into musical instruments. He loved the xylaphone (Am I spelling that right, it looks wrong), or drum, etc. They have great things at Walmart in the music aisle. Also, he loves anything that he can press a button and get a result. (Phones with games, see and say, etc.)

As a twin myself...I suggest 2 gifts, but 2 different things not the same exact thing so that they can share.

Re: Would you get twin boys 2 separate gifts or one bigger gift?
We just went to a twin birthday party. I gave them the princess dvd the mom asked for and then got each girl an ariel princess dress up bath thing. I figured that way each child had something to open and they also got a shared present. I didn't think they needed two copies of the same dvd. I think it is really important to treat each as an individual. With that said, I also think that its important to minimize fighting over a toy so I think sometimes two of the same thing is a good thing because both of my kids go after the same toy at the same time so many times.

can you ask the mom? maybe there's something they need....and would appreciate as one present for both....otherwise i'd probably go with 2 gifts!

i would say separate gifts, unless you are getting a big ticket item that you know they/the mom wants or needs

Re: Would you get twin boys 2 separate gifts or one bigger gift?
i have 2 sets of twin- 2 nephews and a niece and nephew set. (Four 5 year olds- keeps life interesting! lol). We've always gotten them all their own individual gifts. Never identical gifts, either, but something along the same lines.

Get them their own presents and NOT identical gifts. They are 2 seperate people.
