Would you go along with DH to a conference in Miami Beach?
DH has a conference in Miami Beach in April. I know there is definitely affordable airfare out there to Florida. I'm not sure what I would do alone with DS while DH is in his conference. The conference is on a weekend and there is training leading up to the conference that lasts a week. I was thinking of asking my mom to come with us and then I wouldn't be alone with DS. Would you go with DH? How many days would you stay? Should I ask my mother to go with me? Any ideas for activities in Miami? DS will almost be 9 months at that point.

Would you be willing to leave DS with your mom?
if not, and you want to bring DS, i wouldn't bring my mom along.. i'd instead go to the beach all day and walk around and just enjoy myself and relax while your DH is at the conference and at night you can all do something together as a family.

ITA!!! Go and enjoy. NO mom... enjoy hotel room, beach pool, etc.

Just thinking it would be nice to go out to dinner with DH maybe one night. DH would be in the conference till 3. It would be nice to get away with DH though. Thanks for all the feedback.

Leave DS with your mom and go with DH.
Spend the days at the beach/spa/whatever and then you and DH can hang out at night alone!

I agree! no need for mom! Hang by the pool beach walk around etc!
Personally if possible I woudl just go for a long weekend and see if you can leave DS with mom while you are gone!!!

So why not try for the next few months to get him to take a bottle. If it doesnt work just take DS along - you dont need to buy a plane ticket for him so you can decide the week or so before!
We went away when DS was 10 months for 5 days and it was wonderful for us!!! DC #2 isnt even here and I am looking into something for DH and I for the fall/winter months!

I went with DH to a conference in AZ last year when DS was 4 months old, it was really nice, the only pitfall was that DH had all his dinners booked so the first night I ordered room service and than after that I just went to a restaurant and dined by myself. It was a gorgeous hotel and don't get me wrong it was awesome to get away to warm weather, it just was kind of downfall I was alone most of the time.
I actually have to opp to go to another one this march in Miami, contemplating it, but DS is now older and I'm pregnant so I'm not sure if I want to handle it all by myself most of the time.

Go!!!!! We went to Las Vegas last April with our daughter. She was only 3 months at the time and we had a wonderful time!!! My mother came with us and it was wonderful!!! I hope he has another this April!!!!

ITA! If your mom wants to come then take her too. It's always nice to have the extra hands to help. I think you will be fine going alone with DS too.

I would go with DS. I guess you could ask your mom to come but she would have to be with you and DH at night, etc... You can't just leave her alone to spend time with DH when he is not working. That would not be fair to her. She can't be there just when you need her when DH is working.

i would leave DS with mom and go with DH!
im actually going on a four day trip to Arizona with DH for a conference in March and am leaving my twins with my parents.
take a break with DH and enjoy!!
ETA: Woops just saw your other post about EBF and no bottles yet - def go and take mom then! you and DH should go out for some dinners alone!!
