Would you take your infant to an amusement park type place?
We wanted to go to Great Wolf Lodge, stay one night (required to get in to the indoor waterpark). DS would be 5+ months old (we'd be going with other family).
He's still getting his vaccinations and he can't sit up on his own yet. We were just thinking about this trip, but a friend said it's a bad idea because DS is too little.
Would you take your infant? If not, would you go to another amusement park type place with them?

We took our 3 month old to an indoor water park in VA in May. To be honest we were really more so there for our 3yr old, but we did bring the baby in the kiddy area.

Re: Would you take your infant to an amusement park type place?
Personally, I would just feel really uncomfortable with the idea of an indoor park and my 5m old. Just all those germy people in the same indoor place, and who knows if they filter the air well enough.
sorry I'm a germaphobe
An outdoor park, on a not-too-humid day, SURE!

DS has been everywhere since he was 7 days old...parties, holidays, costco, mall. We've made it to 9 months old with only an ear infection. I would go. We are going to Great Adventure next month.

I did.
I took her to Hershey at 8 months. She stayed in the stroller the whole time.

Re: Would you take your infant to an amusement park type place?
I went to Great Wolf Lodge when my youngest son was 3 months old and we had a great time...The kiddie part is level with the parent seating area so one of us took turns relaxing on the side with him in the stroller while the other went into the water with our oldest DS.

Aside from the germs, I think my DS would have HATED it at that age and made us all miserable, so I wouldn't have gone.

yeah, my 3 year old loves it there, she stopped taking a bottle so i can't leave her at home anymore while we go. so, dragging her along...she would rather be in a swing at home

We took DS on a family vacation at 7 months. We went to NH, took the ferry and went to an amusement park with water rides. We went with his 3 cousins

Re: Would you take your infant to an amusement park type place?
I would take my DC. Why not? That's what strollers are for!! We took our DD everywhere. We went to an amusement park when she was about 8 or 9 months old and there was nothing for her to do but she enjoyed being pushed around all day. I would go. Have fun!!!

My SIL too my niece to Disney also at 4 Mos and she loved it also.
I don't like amusement parks in general so it's not my first choice to go with the baby...but I would if I had to.
I hear Sesame Place is a great place to take them when they're young.
