We are going away with my inlaws next month! I am probably in the minority here but I LOVE my MIL and FIL. They know when to keep their distance and mouths shut. They are supportive and easy to talk to. I am really lucky to have them.
I hope going on vaca with them doesn't change that

yeah, actually i would. i love my inlaws, despite my qualms regarding my sil, i do love them. we have gone skiing with them, taken various day trips...heck, we used to live with them. a couple of days in a nice spot wouldn't be a bad thing at all.

Dale's parents are divorced so I would say more so with his mom because I am closer with her.
And I know Dale would love to go away with my parents but they never go any where.

I dont know so much about in laws but I have gone away with his brother and his family and his sister. It was a disaster. As far as parents went away with my folks wasnt so bad but never went with inlaws I personally think it would be a disaster for my MIL. Shes nice and all but I dont think I can go away with her

I think I would have fun vacation with my in-laws, depending on where we vacation. I probably wouldn't go on a tropical island or anywhere like that with them, because that could be something romantic for DH and, but definately some place like Atlantic city or on a cruise somewhere.

Actually I am going away for the first time for a weekend to Maine with my SIL and inlaws so we will see how it goes......
Till this moment, we have all got along well, so im not anticipating any issues.

This past summer (we were engaged, but not married) we went to Georgia with DH's family for a family reunion.
We shared a house with DH's father, step-mother, two brothers, SIL and 3 kids under 7.
We had a great time, but would have fared better had we not shared a house. We had a great time with them, but his step-mother commented to my SIL and I on how EVERYTHING should be done. From making PB&J sandwiches to doing laundry!
I lived 29 years on this planet and didn't know how incompetant I was until she taught me how to make grilled cheese. AAARrrrrrggghhhh!!!!!

Were planning on going away with them in October. As long as me and Don have separate time away from them everything should be fine. I could never be with them 24/7. They would start to get on my nerves.

we went to Florida three years ago with Craig's parents and we had an awesome time. We get along really well and they are honestly the most wonderful in laws ever :) We went to Disney for three days then stayed with a family member for another four days. We had a very nice time. I think if you have a good relationship with your in laws, then why not vacation together? Just think, that's two less souveniers that you have to buy too!

I would, we get along pretty good and they know when to stay out of the way. We visit them a couple of times a year and stay with them and it's not bad at all. DH on the other hand would never be able to vaca with my mom...she is a royal P I A !!!!

I have in the past, and it wasn't horrible.
They do things differently than I do - a lot more time is spent eating or in the hotel room, less time out seeing/doing things.
