yeah i couldnt think of name either, i had to pull them out and look.. "dolly pops". Someone had posted on scavengar hunt thread to find a toy and it brought me back to my childhood, and thought of these.
I had the dolly pops! Gatsbygirl, I think you're thinking of a different toy - there was one where the doll would fold up inside a locket type thing and you could wear it as a necklace
ETA: I just found it, they were called Sweet Secrets

Oh my i had those too, but those are alot younger toy.. those were close to being a 90's toy.. dolly pops was 1979.
on ebay dolly pops were only like worth like $10

No way they can't be from the 90's. I was a teenager in the 90's there's no way I would have had that as a teenager.
ETA: Just found this:
Sweet Secrets Toys were made by Galoob in 1984 and were effectively the girl's version of the Transformer toys. Each of the Sweet Secrets figures could fold away into the body and could then be worn around the neck! In the centre of the body there was a jewel.
