Wow...sometimes I really get hurt/pi$$ed at the boards....
27 people looked at my post about the leaving my pooch out of his cage for the first time...and no one said good luck....ouch.

It just seems to me that certain people will get a HUGE response no matter what they post about and others will get much less responses- even if it's about something important.

I didn't see the post at all but wouldn't take the number of views as people don't care.
I open and close a post intending to go back to it and then get side tracked at work or something else -that's at least 1 view.
If I open a post because I didn't realize I read it -that's another view.
If I open my own post or prview it when I'm writing it - that's another view.
If I check if anyone had additional insight/advice on a post, that's another view.
If I leave my browser open & my screen refreshes, that's another view.
But Good Luck anyway

I know how you feel.
I posted yesterday that I had the stomach bug where it comes out both ends (sorry TMI) and I am 38 weeks pg and thought more people would offer sympathy and concern but didn't.
I guess we all get caught up in our own little worlds sometimes.

i didn't get to read it before this thread followed...
IMO, you can't let it get to you. First day out of the cage isn't a big deal to people without dogs, or people who never caged, etc.
My doggie is 9.5 yrs old and cries to go IN the cage! It'd be punishment if we didn't let him.

Dont feel bad, i wasn't on much this morning i been laying around watching tv, i know the feeling when someone does not respond to your post, i have bronchitis and i have a few response's but like everyone said you can't take it personally,i will go to the pets board and respond.

VERY good point. I'm always surprised to see the result of polls. Some of them end up with 100+ votes and I wonder where they all come from. No way there's 100 active posters daily.

Also I will be 100% honest here....Sometimes Im just not interested in responding.
If I responded to EVERY thread I read, I would be on here 24 hours a day.
I know its harsh but I KNOW people do the same thing to my threads or else teh view count would match the post count.

I hope your dog does great today! I just saw this now, I'm sorry. I rarely go on the pet boards anymore because the traffic there is sort of slow I think. I posted the other day too and didn't get many responses for my sick cat either. Please don't take it personally. It is surprising at first but then you just have to move on....

Honestly...and I'll get flamed for this, but I think the board is like a popularity contest sometimes. Or like high school or something. There are definitely "cliques" and there are definitely those that aren't in the cool club. I'm not saying that you're not, I'm just saying that sometimes that's how I see it. And I agree with the other poster that said sometimes people get a million responses for the dumbest things and when you have a legitimate question or concern, crickets.
As far as your doggy is concerned, I'm sure he'll be fine. How old is he, anyway?
