Writing Lesson-MS Teachers Esp.
Hello! I have a demo lesson for a spec ed resource lesson. I want to do a writing lesson. Does anyone have any ideas that would be good with middle school students? I need something that would last the whole period. I am so nervous, so any help is VERY appreciated!! Thanks!

How to write a five paragraph essay,
adding details, any type of poetry lesson (they love acrostic) because they probably just did it and it will be a review and go well,
you can teach them how to peer edit...that is so student centered and most districts are loving that right now
what grade???? any other details you can give us????

Document Based writing is used in social studies. It can take a whole period.
Give the students some documents (graphs, quotes, even photos or cartoons) with scaffoldign questions- things they can find from reading the documents
Then organize info found in the docs, plus outisde info to write an essay.
