WW & making a cake

Anyone have a good recipe that they have made in the past?

DH birthday is this weekend & we are doing a getaway with friends & I would like to make a WW cake since everyone is watching their diets. I looked online but can't seem to find anything that seems easy yet yummy!!!

how about the diet coke cake? you take a cake mix and add a can of diet coke, it really tastes the same! you can top it with fat free whipped cream...

Re: WW & making a cake

When I was on WW years ago, I used to make cupcakes with a chocolate boxed cake mix and a can of diet cherry coke. It was incredible moist and delicious and I think it was 1 point per cupcake.

You can also do a box of cake mix with a can of pumpkin - no other ingredients. Comes out really good if you use carrot or spice cake mix.

My favorite is a box of angel food cake mix with a large can of crushed pineapples (in juice). 4 pts per serving, makes 12 decent sized servings.

Re: WW & making a cake

The soda cake is DELICIOUS.

I also use to make an angel food cake - than split it open & fill with ff cool whip & fresh berries - raspberries, blueberries...so easy.

Yeah, just the mix and the can of soda. People used to rave about this at my meetings. They came up with all different combos of soda and cake flavors!

I've made the diet soda cakes many times, and it's always a hit. I also use one egg white.

Some of my fav combos:

Chocolate cake with diet coke
Chocolate cake with diet cherry
chocolate cake with diet dr. pepper
Vanilla/yellow cake with diet cream soda

another one i found that is not cake but brownies is mix brownie mix with a can of black beans (that you mashed in blender already). i think you bake as normal.

Black Bean Brownies

Ingredients:
1 (15 oz) can black beans
1 package Betty Crocker Fudge Brownies Mix

Directions:
Drain and rinse beans. Place beans back in can and add water to fill can. Pour into blender and puree. Mix with brownie mix, then spread into pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Bake at 350 degrees F as directed on box. Remove from oven and let cool. Enjoy!

Nutritional Info:
Yields 24 Servings

Amount Per Serving:
Calories: 131.5
Total Fat: 1.0 g
Cholesterol: 0.0 mg
Sodium: 75.2 mg
Total Carbs: 27.0 g
Dietary Fiber: 4.0 g
Protein: 4.1 g

WW Points Plus Value: 3

If you notice, it says 24 servings. When I made them I used mini muffin tins, which worked out great. So, they're only 3 pts., but they are small. Still good though, and just enough to satisfy your chocolate craving.

Depends on the points plus value of the mix. Use the NI from the box (of only the package contents, not prepared) to calculate. The soda is nothing.

Re: WW & making a cake

If you like coconut I made the best low fat cake the other night. I did the same as others have suggested, use 1 box of vanilla cake mix and a can of diet sprite, mixed really well and added about 2 Tbsp of coconut extract. Baked as suggested and then used fat free cool whip mixed with a tspn of coconut extract to frost. Sprinkled a tad bit of toasted coconut on top for decorations. It was really good, even DH loved it
